Our Purpose
Bright Green Future's goal is to help children become more caring, responsible, and respectful by giving them something important to take care of (their environment), be responsible for (the Earth), and show respect for (our world). By teaching these qualities to children while they are young, we plant seeds for the future. Seeds of hope . . . for a Bright Green Future for everyone.
Our Company Story
Many years ago our founder and owner, Michelle Hollandsworth, was a structural engineer. Over time she gradually felt a calling to become a teacher. Elementary school, in fact. She loved it. She found the variety and challenge rewarding, and the children inspired her. For years she enjoyed sparking a love of learning in her students.
Then one day she knew she was being called to teach in a different way. She wanted to focus on teaching children how to be green. She knew the world needed to hear this message of taking care of the planet, and who could tell it best? The children!
She left teaching at a school she loved and started her own business, Bright Green Future, to teach children how to be green. Not what they could do later as adults, but now, as children. They could make a difference. And they would teach the adults. That is her vision for a Bright Green Future.
